What is CIS-CAT Pro?
CIS-CAT Pro is the official CIS benchmark assessment tool published by the Center for Internet Security. It performs point-in-time scans against the CIS benchmark catalog and produces per-system assessment reports. Available to CIS SecureSuite members for internal compliance use. It is an assessment tool; the operations layer around it is left to you.

CIS-CAT Pro is the canonical first-party CIS scanner. It is widely used by security teams running ad-hoc compliance assessments. It does not include mapping to NIST 800-53, ISO 27001 and SOC 2, signed reversible remediation, an exception register with expiry, or drift alerting into your SIEM.
For organizations that need the operations layer beyond raw scanning (most regulated environments), independent platforms like CISGuard extend the scanning with continuous monitoring and auditor-ready evidence packages.
